Our History

The South Carolina Asia-America Chamber of Commerce (SCAACC) is a 501 (c)6 non-profit organization. It was formed in 2013 to serve as an additional organization to help support the economic growth of South Carolina.

It was designed to foster connections of international commerce and business to encourage trade, investment, understanding and friendship between South Carolina and Asia. It acts as a “business bridge” connecting members in both Asia and S.C.

SCAACC is headquartered near Greenville, South Carolina, in the United States, with branches currently in China and Myanmar.

Greenville, S.C. is located in the state’s region known as the Upstate. The Upstate represents the commerce-rich northwestern corner of South Carolina, and is home to more than 400 foreign-owned businesses, representing 32 different countries.

SCAACC was formed as a membership-based organization. It is open to individuals, businesses, manufacturers, government agencies, universities, technical schools, business development and economic development organizations, cultural organizations, and other groups interested in supporting the long-term prosperity and economic growth of South Carolina.
