Our History

Welcome to the South Carolina Asia-America Chamber of Commerce (SCAACC).

SCAACC was formed in 2013 as a non-profit organization, to serve as an additional resource to promote economic development in South Carolina.

It is headquartered near Greenville, South Carolina, with overseas branches currently in China and Myanmar, to provide international support. Greenville is part of the state’s region known as the Upstate. It is home to many international companies and cultures, and offers global business and investment opportunities.

SCAACC was formed as an additional channel to attract and bring in prospective investors from Asia who wanted to explore business opportunities in South Carolina, and to connect South Carolina businesses with opportunities to explore Asia for potential commerce and business.

SCAACC was created as a membership-based organization, open to companies from all Asian regions, South Carolina, and other parts of the U.S. that are interested in business opportunities between SC and Asia.

Membership is also open to individuals, businesses, government agencies, universities, technical schools, business development and economic development organizations, cultural organizations, and other groups interested in driving the long-term prosperity and economic growth of South Carolina.
